TURBULENT FLOW OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS IN PIPES AND OPEN CHANNELS
A method to predict the velocity profile and head loss or pressure drop in smooth pipes and open channels of circular cross section was formulated. Expressions for friction velocity, wall shear stress, and head loss were derived; these equations could be used for Newtonian fluids when a few assumptions were made.
