APPLICATION OF AASHO ROAD TEST RESULTS TO DESIGN OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS IN MINNESOTA, FINAL REPORT
This study was conducted to expand the results of the AASHO Road Test by studying the effects of the various subgrades, the local construction procedures, the local paving materials, and climatic effects in Minnesota. Emphasis was on deflection response and long-term performance of flexible pavements. A total of 58 test sections was evaluated so as to include a wide variation in soils type, pavement structure, and traffic. The findings resulted in a new flexible pavement design procedure for Minnesota. (Author)
