"The Best-Looking CIR Job I've Ever Seen" - Cold in-place Project through Utah's Indian Canyon Met Tough Conditions and Came Out Glowing

The U.S. 191 Indian Canyon restoration project, located near Duchesne, Utah, is the focus of this article and was one of 2019's "Roads & Bridges"/Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association Recycling Award recipients. The stretch of road has demanding features, with extreme elevations and grades, and persistent remoteness and limited right-of-way, making cold in-place recycling (CIR) the only viable option. Details of this tricky highway rehabilitation project process and the factors that made it a success are presented here.
