Maintenance of track in the Hunter Valley - the future

In 1990 the tracks of the Hunter Valley will have a traffic task roughly equal to two Mount Newman Railways of today. The few years between now and then will see a massive build up of traffic, track reconstruction work, last ditch efforts to make existing track last until reconstructed and also development of changes in maintenance techniques.
