Enhanced Traffic Safety Through Integrated Public Transport Network

The paper presents an analysis of land use and traffic and safety conditions before the implementation of integrated PT-network lines in the pilot area in Bratislava, Capital of Slovakia, as well as the benefits following its startup in terms of accessibility to the area, its environmental impact, improving the quality of transport, and increasing road safety. The content of the article is the output of comprehensive land use and transport planning research, comprising mobility behavior and traffic safety, which was developed based on the findings of the VEGA No.1/0351/13 research project, "Traffic areas and their structures in an integrated transport space".
