AIRPORT GROUND ACCESS PLANNING GUIDE
Airport access has been identified by some airport authorities as a potential threat to the growth of aviation. In order to help airport planners and local authorities define the critical elements of an access problem and identify improvement projects for their consideration, TSC and FAA/OSEM have prepared a planning document designed to guide and direct the process. This document describes methods for identifying access constraints, step-by-step techniques for collecting needed access data, and useful ways to evaluate potential solutions. These solutions may include not only major construction projects but also changes in management and service that can lead to improved airport access. (Author)
