ADVANCED ANALYTICAL METHODS FOR EXCITING FORCES OF AN ENGINE AND WHIRLING OF A PROPELLER SHAFTING
A new concept taking the rigidity of the engine and its foundation into consideration is used to evaluate the excitation forces of the diesel engine. A method for analysis of the natural frequencies of propeller shaft whirling is outlined. Vibration response calculations are presented. The discussion on the paper is included. Order from NSFI as No. 19837.
