TRIP ENDS GENERATION RESEARCH COUNTS

The report presents the results of the eighth year of a trip ends generation research project. It is divided into three parts as follows. Part I presents a general introduction to the project and the definitions of terms used. It follows with discussions on the studies by land use. Comparison tables are given for the various types of land use. Part II is a detailed analysis of each of the 38 study sites. It includes a general description, automatic and manual count data, trip ratios for each study site and photographs and location maps for the non-confidential sites. Part III is the appendix containing the computer program for tabulating automatic counts, and a report by the Port of Oakland on traffic and related port activities.
