A PROCEDURE FOR CALCULATING THE COST OF STORM WATER SEWER CONSTRUCTION

This paper describes a construction cost model which has been incorporated into a set of programs for the design and simulation of storm sewer systems. Site studies were used to build up a detailed picture of the resources and operations involved. The procedure is simple and requires a very limited data base: internal diameter of pipe, average depth to invert, maximum depth to invert, length of run, site and ground conditions. The output is expressed in resource costs. (TRRL)
