ENERGY CONSERVATION -- AERODYNAMIC DRAG REDUCTION OF INTERCITY BUSES

One economical means of conserving fuel through the reduction of aerodynamic drag for intercity buses is discussed and it is shown how this can be achieved by the use of simple add-on devices such as guidevanes and front and side curtains. Tests indicate that a 40 percent reduction in drag could be achieved in this way.
