APPLICATION OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING TECHNIQUES ON CONCRETE BRIDGES

This paper describes the application of non-destructive techniques to two problems associated with concrete bridges: (I) assessment of the corrosion risk in reinforced concrete. (II) detection of voids in the ducts of post-tensioned prestressed concrete. Some consideration will also be given to techniques which might be sed for the general surveillance of structures. (TRRL)
