THE TESTING OF DRIVING APTITUDE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A WORK TRANQUILIZER

DIE PRUEFUNG DER KRAFTFAHREIGNUNG UNTER EINFLUSS EINES ARBEITSTRANQUILIZERS

The effect of camazepam (albego) on psychophysical driving capability was studied amongst a homogeneous group of 40 subjects in a double-blind test, measured against a placebo. A study was carried out in accordance with traffic psychological test methods. Following the control test, 10 mg of camazepan was administered twice daily. The battery of tests was repeated on the 4th and 8th day. An influence on the most important psychophysical driving aptitude was not noticeable, but rather a partial increase in orientation ability was detected. (TRRL)
