THE EFFECT OF COOLING RATE ON CEMENT PROPERTIES - A REVIEW
The optimum cooling of cement clinker as it leaves the sintering zone is a subject of considerable interest in view of its bearing on the quality of clinker, conservation of energy and particularly the exploitation of low grade raw material for cement manufacture. The various types of clinker coolers have been assessed with regard to the attainment of optimum cooling. The earlier works reported in this field and future scope of work are indicated.(a) (TRRL)
