CONCRETE BRIDGE PIERS
PILARES DE HORMIGON
This publication presents tables for the design of bridge pier sections, based on standard eh-73. For simple compression the eccentric force is assumed to be 1/20th of the largest dimension with a minimum of 2 cm and for flexural compression the concrete follows the law of parabolic rectangular behaviour. The characteristic strength of concrete in the study was fixed at 150 kg/cm2 and 42 kg/mm2 for steel. (TRRL)
