BENZENE POISONING DURING THE FUELLING OF VEHICLES

BENZOLTOXIKATION BEIM BETANKENVON FAHRZEUGEN

Between 1974 and 1975, before the fuel lead law came into force, a study was made of the effect of benzene on people working with benzene or materials containing more than 1 percent in weight of benzene. It was established that service station personnel breathe in on average 6 mg of benzene and 10 mmg of toluene per day. Studies of the urine and blood of these people did not indicate that they were particularly exposed. (TRRL)
