RECYCLING OF CONCRETE
RECYCLING VON BETON
There exists a CERIB translation into French of an original German article: NT 78-09-4. The protection of the environment and the paucity of raw materials lead to the reutilization of concrete produced by demolition of buildings as source of aggregates. Research in this field is described. The water absorption of the crushed concrete requires preliminary wetting of the aggregate. Compressive strength is slightly lower than normal while the modulus of elasticity is markedly reduced. (TRRL)
