ESTIMATION OF DESIGN FLOODS
A procdure is described for estimation of design floods at sites where minimal hydrological data are available. Rainfall data and water level hydrographs for several storms are assumed to be available and are used to derive an approximate unit hydrograph. When an average unit hydrograph has been determined it is used in a conventional way to construct hydrographs for design storms. (Author)
