THE MOST IMPORTANT GENERATOR OF INFRASOUND IN A LORRY CAB
INFRALJUDETS VIKTIGASTE ALSTRINGSMEKANISM II EN LASTBILSHYTT
High infrasound levels have been measured in lorries when driving on highways. To investigate if the turbulence is the dominating producer, different measurements have been carried out on highways (moving car) and roller conveyors (stationary car). The points of measuring have been inside and outside the cab. The sound was taped and analyzed within the range of frequencies: 0-100 hz and 2-20 hz. The results show that the turbulence causes the infrasound in a lorry cab during driving. (TRRL)
