OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF LOADING SHOVELS

INDICES OPERATIVOS Y ESPECIFICACIONES DE PALAS CARGADORAS

The study of catalogues and printed specifications supplied by manufacturers of loading shovels show the existence of a multitude of parameters and manufacturing characteristics which are difficult to interpret. This is why the society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) has defined these parameters. This article comments on some of them and selects the most important. After a detailed description of the weight, power and capacity of the skip, consideration is given to the pulling out force, the static limit equilibrium load and handling of the shovel loader.
