ROADSIDE INFORMATION DISPLAYS IN AMSTERDAM

INFORMATIEKASTEN LANGS DE STADSROUTES IN AMSTERDAM

An urban road network is often used by people who do not know their way around the city. Therefore Amsterdam is setting up fifty roadside information displays, where through references road users can find their route quite easily. A detailed description of the system is given. (TRRL) surveys. Planning opportunities are outlined and proposals for the "after" survey are put forward. Appended are results of the pedestrian questionnaire, qualitative analysis of dust particulates, levels of aromatic hydro-carbons, and lead analysis.
