PUNCHING SHEAR STRENGTH OF CONCRETE SLABS SUBJECTED TO IN-PLANE BIAXIAL TENSION

It has been found in three tests that in-plane biaxial tensile strains up to 0.0017 cause no reduction in the strength in punching shear of a reinforced concrete slab 90 mm thick. The test results are compared with the predictions of the recent bridge code (BS 5400) and of plastic theory.(a) (TRRL) changes in the demographic structure, changes in energy, institutional and political change, and technological change, as well as structural economic change.(a)
