FLEXIBLE HOURS AND THE JOURNEY TO WORK TO OFFICE ESTABLISHMENTS
Transport planners have for some time discussed the effect on peak travel demand of the adoption of flexible working hours. The author reports on the results of a survey which examined the effect of a flexible hours policy on modal choice and work trip times in the United Kingdom. (Author/TRRL) mixture then being fed to the engine injectors in the normal way. On injection, the oil burns normally causing evaporation of the water resulting in increased combustion efficiency. Resulting fuel savings depend on vehicle usage as on urban, short-distance, journeys savings will be greater than on motorway operations. (TRRL)
