A61 BEFORE AND AFTER STUDY. INTERIM REPORT ON BEFORE STAGE

INFORMATIEKASTEN LANGS DE STADSROUTES IN AMSTERDAM

This report describes: (1) the traffic surveys carried out to measure the changes in the amount of traffic using the existing a61 and in its composition, and the local distribution of traffic in Ripley, the principal town by-passed by the new route, (2) the various environmental surveys on noise and air pollution, and (3) the pedestrian surveys. Planning opportunities are outlined and proposals for the "after" survey are put forward. Appended are results of the pedestrian questionnaire, qualitative analysis of dust particulates, levels of aromatic hydro-carbons, and lead analysis.
