MORE SAFETY WITH GUSSASPHALT MIXING PLANT
MEHR SICHERHEIT AN GUSSASPHALT-MISCHGERAETEN
The elucidation of the causes of accidents associated with gussasphalt mixing plant forms the basis for improvement measures which are laid down in guidelines and codes of practice for the construction, provision of equipment and operation. Following a brief survey of the types of application, production of the mix and laying techniques, typical accidents and their rate of occurrence are summarized and for each, details are given of the measures which go a long way towards their avoidance. Details are given of the requirements of safety technology for each case. In photographs the typical danger points of various motorized heaters, exit-burners and laying machines are shown. (TRRL)
