IMPAIRMENT OF PERFORMANCE BY DIAZEPAM AND ALCOHOL
ZUR FRAGE DER LEISTUNGSBEEINTRAECHTIGUNG DURCH DIIAZEPAM UND ALKOHOL
If there was separate dispensation of alcohol and diazepam a decrease in performance was noted in the first measurements after intake. Two and four hours later differences could no longer be established. The greatest impairments after the intake of alcohol and diazepam happened shortly after they were taken. The findings show that there is significant loss of performance in the rising and levelling out phases of the drug and a less significant loss in the declining phase. Final evaluation of impairment of performance may therefore not be based solely on the diazepam plasma image, but must take account of time. (TRRL)
