GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED POLYAMIDES IN VEHICLE CONSTRUCTION
GLASFASERVERSTAERKTE POLYAMIDE IM FAHRZEUGBAU
The article describes the properties of glass fibre reinforced polyamides from the point of view of the requirements of the car industry. Selected examples of vehicle parts made of glass reinforced polyamides are presented. The need to reduce vehicle weights and to save costs through rational processing procedures, together with the optimum combination of mechanical, thermal and chemical properties of these materials with respect to vehicle construction, will bring about an above-average increase in the growth rate of these materials in car construction in the next few years.
