BRAKING WITH HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION

BREMSEN MIT HYDROSTATISCHEM FAHRANTRIEB

With hydrostatic transmission the following means exist for braking the vehicle: (1) slewing back the driving lever; reversing the injection pump of the diesel engine; braking with combined adjustment. These possibilities are discussed in detail. Theoretical and practical studies have shown that the hydrostatic transmission can be used as an operational brake. (TRRL)
