CALCULATION OF TURNING SHIP DERIVATIVES IN SHALLOW WATER
The derivatives of forces acting on a turning ship in deep water can be calculated by the analogy of the low aspect ratio wing theory and we think Karman-Bollay's wing theory agrees well with experimental values. In this paper the derivatives of forces in shallow water by Bollay's wing theory assumption are numerically computed using infinite images and by the ratio of derivatives in shallow water and in deep water, derivatives of ship forms in shallow water can be calculated.
