"ECS MARINE REPORTING SERVICES"

ECS Marine was established in 1974 in direct response to the demand from within the industry for a flexible information and consultancy service geared towards its commercial requirements. ECS Marine provides information, analysis and judgement pertinent to the needs of the shipping business. It offers an independent service (not being a branch of other shipping interests) producing reports for the specific and confidential use of the enquirer. The Services provided are as follows: (1) THE STAC SYSTEMS: The STAC System takes information from suppliers to the Marine Industry. This data, containing records on the payment behaviour of many shipping companies is fed into our computer to provide a pattern of payment for each purchaser. The output is then made available to those companies who subscribe to the STAC service. (2) EDIT APPRAISAL: You name the vessel. ECS will telex a short report in 1/3 days, indicating movements of vessel, and beneficial ownership of vessel, providing general comments and a credit judgement. Particularly suitable where credit exposures are less than $50,000. (3) STANDARD MARINE REPORTS: Suitable for enquiries on shipping companies worldwide. Ideal for high credit risk situations. Particular reference is made to general financial and credit requirements. Urgent enquiries can be dealt with in in hours. (4) CONSTANT MONITORING: Our Data Bank is being continuously updated, enabling ECS to closely monitor the affairs of designated companies. Within 24 hours of pertinent information being received by ECS, that information will be telexed to you. (5) IN DEPTH REPORTS AND GENERAL CONSULTANCY: In Depth Reports are tailored to specific needs and are suitable, for example, where you may be involved with ongoing commitments -- insurance, charter, vessel finance, etc. The ECS Consultancy Department will undertake research and investigation into areas not covered by the above categories.
