BOATING ACCIDENT REPORTING SYSTEM. COMPUTER FILES FROM 1969 TO PRESENT

The Boating Accident Reporting System contains 44 data elements for each vessel involved in a reported accident. The computer allows sorting and subtotalling by various combinations of these elements. Reports for various uses and users aree generated. A fee must be charged to the public for complicated or voluminous reports. Coast Guard investigations are duplicated for a fee. Only accidents involving death, injury requiring attention beyond first aid, or more than $200 damage to property are entered into the computer file.
