VACATION TRAVEL BY CANADIANS IN (YEAR) IN THE U.S. (1965-PRESENT)

Eleventh annual series containing 10 reports on total and vacation travel by Canadians to the U.S., with some earlier comparative data. Reports are based on a personal interview survey of 10,000 Canadian adults conducted by travel data international. Reports include data, frequently cross-classified by Canadian province of residence and/or U.S. region orrmajor state visisted, on the following: a. Trip characteristics. Covers number of persons, expenditures, area visited, trip purpose and length, transport mode, and month and season of travel. B. Traveler characteristics. Covers sex, age, marital status, family composition, residence (urban/rural, city size), income, occupation, educational attainment, and size of party. Series consists of a summary report, with highlights, charts showing U.S. totals, and tables showing data by region; and 9 regional reports, each with narrative analysis and approximately 26 charts comparing regional and total U.S. data, and 1 table showing data for U.S., each region and major states (identical in each volume).
