STANDARD INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATION MANUAL (SIC), 1972

SIC is the standard classification of establishments by activity employed by government for data collection, tabulation, and presentation. It is a 4-digit code covering the entire field of economic activities. Other classification systems such as S.T.C.C. and Schedule A and B are coordinated with the SIC.
