AIR FREIGHT LOSS AND DAMAGE CLAIMS STATISTICS

Under part 239 effective April 1, 1972 the cab established a system of reporting freight loss and damage claims by certain u.s. Air carriers, foreign route carriers, air freight forwarders, and international air freight forwarders. The system is designed to present information on curent trends and problems relating to air freight loss and damage. Air freight loss and damage claims is published quarterly with an annual summary, showing air freight loss and damage claims by carrier, cross-classified by cause of claim and operations.
