URBAN TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION HANDBOOK, 1975

This handbook is intended to provide a ready reference tool which offers an initial orientation to the sources of information in the field or urban mass transportation. It concentrates on sources of information rather than a listing of published research. These sources include: basic books and reports; bibliography, directories, and services; statistics and fact books; periodicals; research organizations, university programs and transportation libraries; industry and professional organizations; conferences; and the government role, a section which contains an overview of the structure and organization of the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as a review of key legislation and legislative processes that operate to develop national transportation policy.
