LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--SANTA MONICA FREEWAY STUDY
This study assesses transportation attitudes and behavior before and after the implementation of a preferential lane for buses and carpools. It contains demographic data, transit information, attitudes, and trip summaries on various modes, including carpooling; responses to proposed transit plans. Data was obtained by a home interview study --1160 before and 500 after-- consisting of questionnaire formats for rating and ranking perceptions and preferences. Those interviewed were chosen from the group of central business district workers who live within two miles of the freeway and have a public bus available.(TSC)
