REPORT OF THE ARCTIC TESTS OF THE ICE CUTTER/REMOVAL SYSTEM SCALE TEST UNIT: PHASE 1
The purpose of Phase I Task D was to demonstrate, through the testing of a scale ice cutting unit in the Arctic, the capability for cutting ice for extended periods of time and the ability to eliminate the majority of ice forces that would otherwise result on a conventional semi-submersible drilling unit.
