PHOTOMETRIC MEASUREMENTS OF REFLECTION PROPERTIES OF PAVEMENT SURFACES ACCORDING TO CIE METHODS

An automated facility for studying the reflective properties of road surfaces was constructed and used to measure the reduced luminance coefficient matrix of highway pavements as specified in the CIE publication no 30, 1976. The data obtained for twenty-three samples were used to evaluate the average luminance coefficients q0 and the specular factors s1. The resulting values are found to be in agreement with those published previously. (TRRL)
