DEVELOPMENT OF ROAD LIFE CURVES AND TOLERABILITY LEVELS OF ROAD ROUGHNESS

Road roughness surveys are carried out biennially with the latest survey being completed in 1978. The data collected are used to provide pavement age performance relationships and tolerability levels for determining rehabilitation and reconstruction strategies. This report contains details of a computer program that has been developed to produce homogeneous sections of roads based on roughness and pavement age from the data stored in the main roads technical data bank. The output from this programme will be used to produce the pavement age performance relationships and tolerability levels (A). (TRRL)
