DETERMINATION OF SOIL PROPERTIES FROM FIELD OBSERVATIONS OF SETTLEMENT
Field observations of settlement beneath the ground surface, caused by a load such as a building, are proposed as a means of determination of moduli and coefficients of consolidation when the soil is sensitive to disturbance. Planning a test, instrumentation and analysis of measurements are discussed (A). (TRRL)
