Transportation at the Ballot Box 2018

This brief discusses the election choices, related to transportation, made by Americans on 2018 State ballots. Thirty-four States included at least one transportation related measure with about 58% approved. The most new transportation funding was approved in Florida at $24.411 billion. California approved just over $8.6 billion. Most of the funding approved was for multimodal projects and primarily consisted of bonds, sales tax and property tax increase measures. Ballot results are analyzed by State, mode, and finance option. A table listing all the 2018 transportation measures includes data such as place, title, summary, mode, amount (total and annual), and result.
