A RUMBLE STRIP EXPERIMENT IN FINLAND

MELUNAUHAKOKEILU SUOMESSA

An attempt at analysing the possibilities of limiting speeds by physical means in dangerous road spots (junctions, bends, ramps, etc). Vehicle speeds were measured before and after installation of rumble strips. The results are applied to the planning of traffic safety improvements. (TRRL)
