ESTIMATION OF AN ORIGIN-DESTINATION TRIP TABLE BASED ON OBSERVED LINK VOLUMES AND TURNING MOVEMENTS. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Executive Summary gives an overview of the LINKOD model which was developed for the purpose of estimating an Origin-Destination (OD) matrix given link volumes and (optionally) turning movements. This model was designed to be used with a traffic simulation model which requires an OD matrix as input because it is designed to analyze TSM strategies which change the traffic distribution in a network.
