RULES FOR ROAD TANK VEHICLES FOR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS FINITE ELEMENTS
These rules apply to tank vehicles intended for use on public roads for the transportation of normally stable flammable liquids. The code includes requirements for the design and construction of the tank, for the tank fittings and the auxiliary equipment, and for some aspects of the tank vehicle assembly. The code covers demountable tanks, provided that these tanks and the vehicles on which they are carried shall comply in all respects with the code except as specifically exempted. A list of the liquids affected by the code, together with their densities and flashpoints, is given in appendix A. (TRRL)
