Ash Accumulation and Transport in Diesel Particulate Filters (First Report)

ディーゼルパティキュレートフィルタ内のアッシュ堆積および輸送に関する研究(第1報)

In this study, the ash accumulation distribution and density was investigated by observing the ash accumulation site in the DPF using the X-ray CT scanner based on the characteristic that the transmittance of X-rays is proportional to the density of the substance. Quantitative analytical method without DPF destruction was established and the correlation between the ash accumulating condition and ash accumulation site in DPF is discussed in this report from the results of the quantitative analysis.本研究では,X線の透過率が物質の密度に比例する特性に着目し,X線CT装置を用いてDPF内のアッシュ堆積状態を観察することで,その堆積分布及び密度について調査を実施した.DPF非破壊での定量解析法を確立し,結果から堆積条件とDPF内のアッシュ堆積状態との相関性について考察したのでこれを報告する.
