CODE OF PRACTICE ON ACTION CONCERNING VEHICLE SAFETY DEFECTS BRIDGE SEMINAR HELD 16, 17 & 18 NOVEMBER 1978, UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND. VOLUME 4

This code of practice on action concerning vehicle safety defects, concerns cases where vehicle manufacturers and concessionaires become aware of the existence of safety defects (defined in the code) in vehicles that have been sold in the United Kingdom. The code deals with information to be given to the department of transport and to the owner/registered keeper in respect of cars, commercial vehicles, passenger service vehicles, and originally fitted components. The document does not cover motorcycles, trailers, motor caravans or components supplied to the automotive aftermarket. (TRRL)
