VEHICLE LIGHTING IN INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE

KRAFTFAHRZEUGBELEUCHTUNG IN INTERNATIONALEN PERSPEKTIVEN

In 1948 the agreement concerning the adoption of uniform conditions of approval and reciprocal recognition of approval for motor vehicle equipment and parts was set up. Herewith a framework was given for an international standardisation, but not all governments have yet ratified this agreement. It is stated that at least in the European community a harmonization is wanted for the lighting and signalling of vehicles. This can be fruitful for the industry as well as international traffic. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD abstract no 244569. (TRRL)
