NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LAMPS WITH LOWER ELECTRIC OUTPUT
NEU-ENTWICKLUNGEN BEI NATRIUMDAMPFHOCHDRUCKLAMPEN NIEDRIGER ELEKTRISCHER LEISTUNG
Practical experiments with the 70 w high pressure sodium lamp son70w to determine its reliability are presented. A special glow-starter guarantees a reliable start. The causes of losses of heat transfer and how these can be decreased by a high pressure of xenon are discussed. The properties of the new 150 w high pressure sodium lamp son 150w are compared with this lamp. The new lamp has 15% more luminous efficacy. (TRRL)
