THE NEW UAAIS 779 LOW-LOADER CAR AS A BASIC CONTRIBUTION TO THE SYSTEMATISATION OF THE LOW-LOADER CAR FLEET ON THE GERMAN FEDERAL RAILWAY

The car fleet for carrying heavy and bulky freight consists of various types of rolling stock. The new low-loader Uaais 779 type car, carrying a maximum load of 130 tons, has replaced 3 types of older cars in service. Also a series of parts have been standardised, which will be valuable when other low-loader cars are built.
