THREE-PHASE TEST VEHICLE OF THE DUTCH RAILROAD SYSTEM. ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE OF THE 1.5-KV DC NETWORK
DREHSTROMVERSUCHSFAHRZEUG DER NIEDERLAENDISCHEN EISENBAHNEN. ELEKTRISCHES VERHALTEN AM 1,5-KV-GLEICHSPANNUNGSNETZ
A feeding converter, termed one-quadrant controller (1q-S), is connected in series before the dc intermediate circuit of the test vehicle. Reasons which led to the decision for the 1q-S and of its reactions on the power supply network are discussed. It is shown that the measured interference currents remain within required limiting values. Thereby the preconditions are given for the utilization of high-rated locomotives with three-phase current in dc overhead contact systems.
