THREE-PHASE TEST VEHICLE OF THE DUTCH RAILROAD SYSTEM. ADHESION MEASUREMENTS
DREHSTROMVERSUCHSFAHRZEUG DER NIEDERLAENDISCHEN EISENBAHNEN. ADHAESIONSMESSUNGEN
With the test vehicle 1600 P with three-phase current, a number of test runs have been carried out in order to receive information about the interdependence of friction and wheel slip for a single driven axle. The tests have confirmed the result of theoretical investigations. They have shown that slip values of less than 1.2% are sufficient for the transmission of maximum tractive efforts.
